We are continuing south from our last group in the Woodbridge and Perth Amboy area (Middlesex County) on to the next county, Monmouth, which as we can see in the map above takes up the northernmost part of the Jersey Shore. But we won't be looking at the shore just yet; first we'll be passing through the inland towns of Monmouth County. We'll be following NJ-35, with an early detour to NJ-34 for Aberdeen, then heading through Keyport, Hazlet, Holmdel, Middletown, Fair Haven, Red Bank, Little Silver, Lincroft to the west, and Tinton Falls. NJ-36, the next major road to the north/east, approximately parallels the coastline and that's where we'll be headed next. But for now, we're going to start with a former supermarket in the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen Township tomorrow here on Grocery Archaeology!
